 Wear the Irish Green by making your own corsage! It’s an easy project that uses Wrights’ wire-edge ribbon, and is then decorated with leaves and baby's breath. This corsage will last for years to come.
Materials
- 1 yard Wrights® 1-1/2”-wide Taffeta Wire Edge Ribbon (#222-6539-924)
- 2 yards Wrights® 3/8”-wide Satin with Metallic Edge Ribbon (#222-600-001)
- Floral Wire
- Floral Tape
- Assorted Silk Foliage
- Silk Baby's Breath
- St. Patrick's Day decorations
Instructions
1. Find the copper wire on both ends of one side of taffeta ribbon (see Illustration 1).
2. Gently pull wires to ruffle one edge of ribbon (see Illustration 2).
3. Begin to roll gathered edge at one end of ribbon to form flower (see Illustration 3).
4. Continue to shape flower until all ribbon is used (see finished project photo).
5. Twist copper wires to finish flower.
6. Cut one piece of floral wire 8” long
7. Twist copper wires around floral wire and secure with floral tape. Set aside.
8. Tie a small puffy bow with satin ribbon and tie off with floral wire.
9. Attach bow underneath ribbon flower. Trim wire and cover with floral tape.
10. Decorate corsage with silk foliage, baby's breath, or St. Patrick's Day decorations.
